Meet the members of the kurichya tribe , Witness their collection of different tools and weapons, Learn to wield a bow or watch in awe ad skilled hands make one. It is believed that kurichians, the warrior tribes, were the soldiers of king Pazhassi Raja in the guerilla warfare against the British. Walk through the village lush green paddy fields and the trail ends at the local tribal house boat and get it Tava Friend in front of you, with local tapioca and chutney.

Takes you through lush green Tea Plantations as sand road zigzags up through. The route to Kurichyar Mala is through estate paths, with waterfall and clear streams on the way. It's a steep climb from the base area where tea hills line up and fog travels with beautiful sights of the valleys in the distance. The trek is about 5 to 6 km and can be done by beginners also with ease. All through your trek downwards, you will see the wonderous curves of the hills crowned by the beautiful morning mist.

Walk through Tea Plantation and to the area where the day's pruning takes place. You can meet up with local tea picking women and get into their costume to try and prune a few bushes alongside them. Our next stop is at the factory, where one goes through the various stages of tea leaf processing. The processes of withering, rolling, oxidizing and drying can all be learned there. The Tea Museum set up in an old tea plantation factory will give you a perfect English tea experience. The tour around the museum will enrich us with stories of history, variety and benefits of tea. The much-awaited Tea Tasting session will allow you to understand all the differences between white, black and green tea. Before you make your way back, there is a sale counter for you to pick up your favorite brew of tea from.
